While you were sleeping…Such an amazing night under the stars last night. I have been so fortunate to catch so many auroras recently. 25 second long exposure really makes the colors pop. You could see them with the naked eye but not as vibrant as the last aurora a few months ago.

While I was focused on the feeding birds, this mink approached me about 8 feet away. It startled me, and I it. It dropped its duck, I missed the shot but got these as it returned for its prized meal. What a treat!

I hope you all aren’t sick of the aurora photos yet. Here was my second stop where I caught last year’s aurora. Incredible wall to wall color. The pinks dominated the sky as opposed to the greens down at the harbor. What a sight!
What an incredible night! Surrounded by color and motion as the aurora danced around me as well as directly overhead. 2024 has not disappointed for celestial events
What an absolute banger of a night. Worth every lost hour of sleep. This is a small snippet of what I captured last night between 9:00pm and 12:45am. I was blown away by all the movements and colors. I didn’t know which way to look or point the camera. These shots varied from 1 second to 20’seconds.
Last night’s aurora dancing over Rye Harbor. Around 10pm the skies went bonkers. I didn’t know which way to look or point the camera. At one point I was surrounded completely by dancing skies, including directly overhead. What a treat!
I don’t even know where to start picking photos to share…so here is one. Last night was something else!

Tonight’s full Pink Moon rising over White Island Lighthouse. There were a ton of clouds on the horizon and just as I said to myself “well that was a bust…” the moon peeked out from above them. Never give up hope
Well I tried something new today to add to my obsession with jets flying though celestial objects. I must admit, pretty cool. Here are my first two attempts of shooting jets passing through the sun. It is actually way harder than I expected. Hope you like my results.
